Climate and Cultural Heritage (CCH 2023)

This Collaborative Research Action (CRA) aimed to support transdisciplinary and convergent research approaches on cultural heritage and climate change to foster collaboration among the research community across several regions, and to contribute to knowledge advances and policy change at the global level.    The call was launched by the Belmont Forum with the Joint Programming Initiatives Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe (JPI Climate) and the Cultural Heritage and Global Change (JPI CH). Applicants were invited to submit research proposals that address at least one of the three call themes:  
  • The Impact of Climate Change on Cultural Heritage
  • Cultural Heritage as a Resource for Climate Mitigation and Adaptation
  • Sustainable Solutions for Heritage
  This CRA was launched in 2023 and  is ongoing with support from:

FFG for BMBWF, BELSPO, MSMT, ANR, IEPA, MUR, RCL, NWO, RCN, AEI, SNSF, NRCT, TÜBITAK, AHRC, and NSF
