Food-Water-Energy Nexus / Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative (SUGI) (Nexus 2016)

This Collaborative Research Action (CRA) was a joint call by the Belmont Forum and the Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe and sought to bring together fragmented research and expertise across the globe to find innovative solutions to the Food-Water-Energy Nexus challenge.   The call sought to develop more resilient, applied urban solutions to benefit a much wider range of stakeholders. The importance of this focus is underscored by the rapid urbanization of the world’s population.   This CRA was launched in 2016 and ended in 2022. It was supported by:
